Say “Sayonara!” to the gas station and “Hello!” to the highly anticipated 2018 Chevrolet Equinox turbo-diesel engine.

Part of the Equinox’s new trio of all-turbocharged systems, the diesel model of the Equinox has an SAE-certified 240-lb of torque and is equipped with a variable-geometry turbocharger. You’re probably wondering “Great, but what does that mean?” This newly added feature ensures that the Chevrolet Equinox will generate stronger torque at low rpm (revolutions per minute) and more horsepower at higher rpm.

The turbo-diesel Chevrolet Equinox is estimated to reach an EPA-certified 39mpg on the highway; a number that is expected to top the segment in highway fuel economy and greater highway mileage when compared to the 2017 Toyota RAV4 and Nissan Rogue hybrid. This means you can driver farther between trips to the gas station!

“Chevrolet continues to lead with technologies that offer customers more choice . . . Our three-engine turbo-charged Equinox lineup means we can provide drivers more options for the performance and efficiency they desire.”

– Steve Majoros, Marketing Director for Cars and Crossovers

The all-new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is a fresh and modern compact SUV fully equipped with increased cargo space (when compared to previous models) and the latest in on-the-road connectivity.
